Movie Watchlist Tracker Printable
Print a free movie watchlist tracker for your bullet journal or planner. Log films to watch with a clean A5 page you can generate in the browser.
What the movie tracker page includes
The movie watchlist tracker printable gives you a single-page grid sized to A5, with a title row at the top and five columns: film title, year, who recommended it, date watched, and a rating from one to five stars. The rating column is drawn as five small open star outlines, so you can shade or tick them as you finish each film. Along the bottom edge there is a short notes strip for runtime, streaming service, or a one-line review.
The free browser tool at the top of this page lets you generate the A5 page directly. You can change the heading text, set the number of rows, and pick a line style before printing. Everything is rendered at 148 by 210 millimeters, which fits a standard A5 bullet journal insert or a half-fold of US Letter. No sign-up is needed to open the tool or to print the free layout.
A finished sheet holds between twenty and thirty rows depending on the layout you choose, which is roughly a season of weekly movie nights. If you watch more than that, print two copies and tape them edge to edge on the back of a journal page. The page is deliberately monochrome, so it sits beside your existing tracker or habit spread without clashing with the pen colors you already use.
A5 bullet journal printing
Print the file at 100 percent scale, not fit to page, or the 148 by 210 millimeter dimensions will shrink and the rows will not line up with a pre-cut A5 insert. On a US Letter printer, load a sheet of 24 lb (90 gsm) or 32 lb (120 gsm) paper and set the tray to plain paper. A5 is half of A4 and slightly smaller than half of Letter, so trim along the crop marks with a guillotine or a steel ruler and craft knife.
If you keep a bound notebook, a 32 lb (120 gsm) sheet folds neatly and pastes in with a glue stick without rippling the facing page. For a discbound or ring planner, punch the trimmed sheet with an A5 punch and slot it next to your monthly spread. Heavier 65 lb (176 gsm) cardstock also works, but it will not fold as flat and is better left as a loose card in a pocket folder.
Print a test copy on scrap paper first. Check that your printer is not adding a borderless margin that clips the star column, and confirm the ink dries before you stack pages, especially on coated paper. Once the test looks right, print five or six copies at a time so you have replacements ready when a page fills up mid-month.
How to log films and ratings
Fill the title column as soon as someone recommends a film, even if you will not watch it for months. Write the year in its own column because remakes and same-name titles cause confusion later. The recommended-by column is the part that keeps a watchlist honest: when a friend asks whether you saw the movie they mentioned, you can point to the row and the date instead of guessing.
Use the rating column after you finish the film. Shade one star for a film you would not repeat, three for a solid evening, and five for something you would press on a friend. Some people prefer a simple check for watched and a cross for abandoned halfway through; either mark works because the stars are outlines, not printed numbers.
The bottom notes strip is for the practical details you forget: which streaming service had it, whether subtitles were needed, or the exact runtime if you plan a double feature. Add the date watched at the end of the row, not the start, so the column reads left to right as a short timeline. Two or three words per note is enough.
Two layout versions explained
The free maker produces two simple versions. The first is a lined list: a narrow title column, a year column, a small checkbox, and a five-star rating drawn small on the right. It suits a bullet journal page where you write in the title and rate in the same line, and it fits around twenty-five films per sheet.
The second version is a column-tracking layout with wider gaps between rows. Each row spans the full A5 width, with a shaded rating band and a short notes line under the title, so you can write a longer reaction or a single sentence review. It holds about fifteen to eighteen films because the rows are taller and easier to read at a glance.
Choose the lined list if you finish films quickly and only want a record, and the column layout if the rating and the note matter as much as the title. Both print from the same free browser tool and can be regenerated with different headings, so you can keep one version for films and another for series in the same journal.
Free tracker maker vs AI layouts
The free tool is genuinely free and works in the browser. It generates the A5 movie watchlist tracker template, lets you adjust the heading, row count, and line weight, and sends it straight to your printer. You do not create an account, and nothing is mailed to you. It is the fastest route if you want a clean page today and are happy with the two layouts offered.
The paid AI generator takes a text prompt and builds a custom tracker using credits. That is useful if you want your own column names, like director or country, or a heading styled to match a journal theme. It can also produce a different visual style, such as a film-strip border or a marquee motif, that the free maker does not draw.
Neither version is shipped or emailed. Everything is printed at home, so the free page and the AI page both land in your printer tray as a sheet you trim to A5. If you only need a movie watchlist tracker printable to start logging this week, use the free maker and save credits for a layout you cannot get otherwise.
Make your own with the Tracker Page Maker
The Tracker Page Maker turns a blank sheet into a working log. Type a name, set how many rows and columns you need, and the tool draws checkbox rows or a shelf grid. Add optional column labels for dates, titles, ratings, or notes. Every change appears on screen as you type, so you can judge spacing before you print.
Exports are drawn on your device at 300 dpi on US Letter 8.5 x 11 in paper. Nothing you type is uploaded.
